With the blessings of Waheguru, our goal is to supply the Sikh and non-Sikh community with the resources to learn the Sikh way of life as taught by Guru Granth Sahib Ji. The Gurfateh Sewa Centre is a Canadian registered Charitable Organization that was founded in 2007. It is a non-profit organization that is organized and run by volunteers from the Sikh community.

With the blessings of Waheguru the Gurfateh Sewa Centre has been able to expand its scope of sewa. The Gurfateh Sewa Centre opened its doors in 2007 serving the Sangat on weekends at the Guru Nanak Sikh Centre Gurdwara Sahib on Glidden Road in Brampton, Ontario. Recently, with the Sikh Community’s support, the Gurfateh Sewa centre opened an additional centre on Tranmere Drive in Mississauga, Ontario which is open six days a week including Saturdays and Sundays.

The Gurfateh Sewa Centre provides a variety of materials and services to serve the community. The centre provides gutkas, kakaars, books on various religious topics, photos, instruments for keertan, gatka equipment, audio and video materials, Sikh artifacts, palki sahibs, chour sahibs, rumalas and many other items.

In efforts to spread the teachings of the Guru Granth Sahib Ji, the centre has been able to build relations with various school boards and jails to provide awareness, resources and materials regarding the teachings of Guru Granth Sahib Ji and Sikh History. The Centre also continues to work with nursing homes and organize trips to local Gurdwaras as well as keertan programs within the nursing centres for those who are not otherwise able to access this type of sangat. Our next major initiative is to create an automated inventory system accessible via the internet so that sangat from around the world can have access to all the items distributed by the Gurfateh Sewa Centre.
